The Welsh Government has published its White Paper on Reforming Local Government - Resilient and Renewed which reflects a number of the ideas and challenges concerning local government at the current time. LLANDOUGH COMMUNITY COUNCIL
COMMUNITY TRANSPORT SERVICE
The Council supports a weekly community transport service for local residents who require transport to enable them to access local supermarkets. The scheme which is provided by a local volunteer runs on Thursday mornings each week.

ENHANCING THE BIO-DIVERSITY OF OUR COMMUNITY
The Community Council is embarking on the third phase of the local bio-diversity scheme.
Local residents are actively encouraged to follow the lead of the Council and look at ways in which they can contribute to this important agenda. This could include planting of indigenous flowers and plants in gardens or fixing a bird box to a tree growing within the boundary of your property.

FLY TIPPING AND UNLAWFUL DISPOSAL OF RUBBISH
The Council is becoming increasingly concerned about the large amount of unlawful disposal of rubbish taking place in the vicinity of the trading estate, near the Dog's home, by the Lewis Road garages and in the playing fields. If residents become aware of unlawful disposal of rubbish they are advised to contact the Clerk to the Council.

The Plan proposes land use in the Vale of Glamorgan covering a fifteen year period.
As far as Llandough is concerned three sites have been allocated for housing as follows:
North of Leckwith Road – 15 houses
Llandough Landings – 120 houses
South of Llandough Hill – 130 houses
Llandough War Memorial Hall
Refurbished to a very high standard and situated on Penlan Road, the Hall is available for hire for birthday parties, meetings of clubs and groups and indoor sporting and fitness activities. The main Hall can hold up to 100 people and at the rear of the building there is an office area for use by up to 15 people.
The Hall has a large and well equipped kitchen and a disabled toilet facility and the hire rates are very reasonable. For occasional users the current hire rate is £15.00 for the first hour and £11.00 per hour thereafter and for regular users the standard rate is £9.00 per hour.

PAYMENT OF MEMBER ALLOWANCES AND EXPENSES
It is a requirement that community councils publish details of allowances and expenses payable to members in each financial year. During 2015/16 there were no payments made to your Community Councillors.
DATES FOR YOUR DIARY
The following events managed by the Council will be held in 2017:-
Litter Pick - All residents invited to take part - commencing at 10.00am on Saturday 13 May 2017.
Council Surgery - Come and meet your Councillors on Saturday 27 May 2017 from 10.00am to 11.00am in the rear room of the Llandough War Memorial Hall.
Village Fete - To be held in the Playing Fields commencing at 2.00pm on Saturday 10 June, 2017.
Civic Service - To celebrate the installation of the new Chairman of the Community Council. To be held on Sunday 9th July, 2017 commencing at 3.00pm. All residents invited to attend.
