Major Award for the Community Council
The Council recently applied for an innovative practice award under the One Voice Wales’ scheme for Best Community Engagement Project and at a ceremony held in Builth Wells on 29 March, 2018 Council representatives were presented with a highly commended certificate. Councillor Dr Mo Misra, Chairman of the Council commented that, “Although this is a great honour for the council it is more of an honour and testament to the community of Llandough. Without their engagement we would not have been awarded this highly commended certificate. I would also like to recognise former Councilor Bill Fear for all his work in organising and analysing the survey so that we now know how to better understand the needs of the community. The Council is now able to prioritise its efforts in responding to these needs and in particular to pursue a Multi User Games area for our young people, and to continue the focus on the local bio-diversity scheme”
